Best Jumia Tech Week Deals

Nokia Lumia 530 is Microsoft’s low cost Windows Phone, expected to replace the iconic Lumia 520. It will come with the newer version of Windows Phone (WP 8.1) and run on quad-core processors, despite coming at a cheaper price. Nokia Lumia 530 features a 4-inch screen and is available in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. It is great for Nokia fans still stock in the Asha and Symbian world due to cost and could open the door for even cheaper smartphones running on the Windows Phone OS.

Nokia Lumia 530

The Cheap Windows Phone

The biggest selling point for the Nokia Lumia 530 is that it is now in Android company. It is cheap, it runs on quad-core processors, has a 5 megapixels camera, has a 4-inch display, and has a Dual-SIM option. Compared to Android phones from reputable brands within its price point, the Nokia Lumia 530 is quite compelling.

Nokia Lumia 530 comes with the more recent Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box with new refinements like the new Action Centre and the amazing Work Flow on-screen keyboard. Microsoft’s intelligent digital assistant, Cortana, though currently on Beta only for consumers in the United States, is also bundled with Windows Phone 8.1.

The phone will also come with popular Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preloaded, so you can be productive while on the move.

Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM. Lumia 520 ran smoothly on dual-core, so with quad-core processor, we expect the Lumia 530 to run a bit faster.

It features 4GB storage like most smartphones in its price point, but unlike most of them, you can slot-in a microSD card of up to 128GB. Nokia Lumia 530 also comes bundled with 15GB of OneDrive Cloud Storage.

Display and Camera

Nokia Lumia 530 features a 4.0-inch display. The display is not IPS like the 520, so the viewing angle might not be as good, but it offers better resolution with 480 x 854 pixels.

Nokia Lumia 530 features a 5 megapixels camera, just like the 520. However, the camera is fixed focus and records 480p video not as impressive as the 720p HD capability of the Lumia 520.

However, with Nokia’s advanced imaging tech, you should expect the camera to be better than most phones within its price point.

Pricing and Availability

Nokia Lumia 530 is now available in Nigeria. You can buy the phone at leading online stores in Nigeria. Nokia Lumia 530 Price in Nigeria ranges from N16,000 to N25,000 depending on your location in the country.
