Design and Build Quality
While ASUS Zenfone 2 boasts a bit of premium quality in terms of features, it does not fare as good when it comes to design and build quality. The phablet features a plastic design, although the rear looks like brushed-metal finish.
Considering its curvy backside, the ASUS Zenfone 2 could not manage to get any close to the high-end Galaxy S6 in terms of thinness at 10.9 millimetres. It also weighs a bit at 170 grams, but this should not really be an issue given the specs it boasts for its pocket-friendly price.
Display and Camera
ASUS Zenfone 2 crams in a large 5.5-inch display, which puts him in the phablet territory and on par with the LG G4. However, the LED-backlit screen has a Full HD (1080p) resolution for a brilliant pixel density of 403 ppi – still decent for the price, given the iPhone 6 Plus also features a 1080p display.
In the camera department, the device packs a 13-megapixel Toshiba sensor with dual-LED Flash on the rear and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front. Both cameras have Full HD video recording capability.

The ASUS Zenfone 2 phablet is driven by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor clocked at 1.8GHz for the entry level model and Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at a speed of 2.3 GHz for the top of the line model.
Backed by PowerVR Series 6 G6430 GPU and 2GB or 4GB of RAM, the chip should make for impressive multitasking and enjoyable gaming experience. The affordable ASUS Zenfone 2 runs on an Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system overlaid with its maker’s ZenUI.
Other Features
Onboard the ASUS Zenfone 2 offers a 16GB storage or a 64GB storage, with this being expandable by up to 64 GB using a microSD card. The phablet packs a large 3000mAh battery, which has larger capacity than the one on the more-expensive HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, micro-USB and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n. ASUS Zenfone 2 supports two micro-SIM cards.
Pricing and availability
ASUS Zenfone 2 is not available in Nigeria. ASUS does not currently offer phones in Nigeria so the availability of this phone in the country is in doubt. If and when available, ASUS Zenfone 2 Price in Nigeria is expected at around N32,000 to N75,000.
