Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) parades an eye-catching look with an all-metal unibody construction. It shares the same thickness with the new Galaxy A5 and A7 at 7.3 millimetres.

Like the other phones, it is both thicker and larger, perhaps, because of some upgrades which have been made. The diagonal display size has been increased to 4.7 inches, up from 4.5 inches. The touchscreen also now have an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of about 312 for better clarity.

Camera and Storage

The refreshed android phone comes with a camera combo of 13-megapixel rear-facing and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. The improved primary shooter with LED flash and autofocus can be used to record Full HD (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second.

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) features similar onboard storage of 16 GB as its bigger cousins and this is also expandable by up to 128 GB through the use of a microSD card.

Performance and OS

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) is still powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, similar to the offering on its predecessor, but this one is designed to run at a higher speed of 1.5 GHz. The chipset is coupled with 1.5GB RAM for decent responsiveness.

The smartphone is equipped for better user experience with a more feature-rich Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) promises the best of browsing and downloading experience on networks supporting 4G LTE (Cat. 4) connectivity. Bluetooth 4.1, 3G, NFC, ANT+ and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n are among the available connectivity options.
