While standard Kindle DX comes with US EVDO support accessible via Sprint’s EVDO network in the US, Amazon Kindle DX with global wireless is equipped with the more globally available GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA, making Whispernet available in over 100 countries.
