Design and Touch Display
GoPro Hero+ LCD doesn’t appear much different from last year’s Hero. It comes in the same dark gray finish. However, it packs in an LCD touch panel – something that was exclusive to the impressive higher-end camera Hero4 Silver before now.
The built-in colour touchscreen allows you get a clearer idea of what your shots will look like so that you can tie up all loose ends before capturing. The touch display also enables you navigate through menus and control settings more comfortably using touch.
GoPro Hero+ LCD boasts same waterproofing (up to 40 metres) as the Hero4 Silver, but comes with a non-removable housing.
Improved Capturing
Video capturing has been enhanced on GoPro Hero+ LCD, compared to the original Hero. It records Full HD (1080p) videos 10 up to 60 frames per second. Still shot shooting has also been improved to 8 megapixels, as against the Hero’s 5 megapixels.
A Time Lapse mode enables users to capture pictures at set time intervals ranging from 0.5 to 60 seconds. Five shots can be taken in just one second in Burst mode! Superview, QuikCapture and Auto Low Light modes further helps to guarantee professional shots.
Other Features
Like GoPro Hero4 Silver, the GoPro Hero+ LCD comes with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which help you to put the GoPro App to good use. The GoPro App can transform your smartphone or tablet device into a remote that can be used to control the camera.
There is a new feature that makes it possible to trim videos right in the camera before sharing with friends via online services like Instagram and Facebook. GoPro Hero+ LCD features a mini USB port for charging and data transfer.
