BlackBerry showed some of the 70,000 Apps available at the BlackBerry World. Most of the big names are there but a few are missing. Already available at the BlackBerry World for BlackBerry 10 devices are popular apps like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Foursquare, Skype, Whatsapp, Kindle, Evernote, Dropbox, Angry Birds, etc.
Notably absent at the BlackBerry World are Netflix and Instagram. However, BlackBerry says it is working with Netflix and Instagram to bring the apps to the BlackBerry platform.
To excite consumers even further, the BlackBerry World will be offering movies, music, and TV shows. Users can purchase movies, music, and their favourite TV shows in supported countries.
BlackBerry has a good enough OS to attract new and existing smartphone users. And with most of the popular and important apps already at the BlackBerry World Store, there will be market for BlackBerry 10 phones. However, challenging the market leaders will take time and probably a few missteps by current market leaders.
