HP Slate 7 Extreme, like the HP Slate 7 Plus is an upgrade to HP’s low cost 7-inch Android tablet, the Slate 7, but comes with an even more powerful processor, more built-in storage, HDMI port, a Stylus, and more battery life. HP Slate 7 Extreme also boasts of a gyroscope, which can come handy when playing certain kinds of games.

A Powerful 7-inch Tablet

HP Slate 7 Extreme are for consumers who desire a 7-inch tablet with solid performance. It runs Android 4.2.2 on a powerful Nvidia Tegra 4 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The HP Slate 7 Extreme comes with enough power to make it great for playing games. The inclusion of a gyroscope will also add to the tablet’s gaming credentials.

HP Slate 7 Extreme comes with the same display as the Slate 7 Plus, which offers great viewing for movies, web pages and e-books. The camera is also the same:- a 5 megapixels camera on the back (now with HDR) and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. HP Slate 7 Extreme also comes with an HDMI port which enables you connect the tablet to your TV to watch connect on larger TV screens. HP claims the port can support 4k ultra HD video.

Like the HP Slate 7 Plus, the Slate 7 Extreme only supports Wi-Fi and does not support GSM/GPRS/EDGE or 3G.

Price and Availability

HP Slate 7 Extreme tablet is already available in the United States for $199, but it is not yet available in Nigeria. We expect HP Slate 7 Extreme Tablet Price in Nigeria to range from N38,000 to N45,000 at launch.
