Design and Build Quality
Featuring a sleek metal design, you can easily tell that the OnePlus 2 is a premium smartphone. The design features quality aluminium and magnesium alloy frame with stainless steel accents. Yet, the device remains relatively lightweight and slimmer at 175 grams and 9.9 millimetres respectively, compared to the Moto X Style.
And like the rival smartphone, the OnePlus 2 comes with a variety of attractive, stylish covers, including one resembling a bamboo.
Display and Camera
The OnePlus 2 sports a 5.5-inch touch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for a pixel density of 401 ppi – dwarfed by Motorola Moto X Style’s 5.7-inch Quad HD display. But this display should still offer high clarity and great colour reproduction.
And being an IPS LCD panel, you are in for enjoyable wide-angle viewing. In the camera department, the OnePlus 2 packs a 13-megapixel main camera with advanced laser autofocus and optical image stabilisation. There is also a very decent 5-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies.
Performance and OS
An amazing Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor running at speeds of up to 1.8 GHz runs the show here, edging the Moto X Style’s 1.8 GHz hexa-core processor, at least on paper. The standard 16GB version comes with a generous 3 GB of RAM, while an awesome 4 GB of RAM is provided on the more-expensive 64GB variant.
The OnePlus 2 runs on its maker’s OxygenOS, which is based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
A large 3300mAh battery supplies juice needed to enjoy the solid performance this phablet has to offer. The OnePlus 2 supports blazing fast 4G LTE connectivity.
Pricing and availability
OnePlus 2 will be sold the same invitation model used for its predecessor the OnePlus One so availability in Nigeria will be limited.
