Amazon Fire HD 10 features a cool and durable design, but its appeal is a bit undone by its plastic rear. The slate exhibits a cool svelte profile at just 7.7mm thick, like its smaller variant. At 15.2 ounces, it is lighter than the Apple iPad Air 2 and Microsoft Surface 3.
Amazon also says its slate is almost two times more durable than the Apple device based on tests conducted. The device crams in a massive 10.1-inch diagonal display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The screen resolution means the smaller Fire HD 8 offers better clarity than this one.
Camera and Storage
The same camera setup seen on the smaller Fire HD tablet is used on this 10-incher. Amazon Fire HD 10 has a 5 megapixels rear camera and a 720p HD front-facing snapper. The primary shooter has Full-HD (1080p) video recording capability.
If the 16GB onboard storage does not suffice for your storage needs, you will be able to add up to 128GB more storage space using a microSD card.

Amazon Fire HD 10 is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek processor which delivers speeds of up to 1.5 GHz. The chip, which is paired with RAM of 1GB capacity, supposedly ensures power efficiency and optimal load balancing between the cores.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 boots the latest Fire OS 5 software which is designed to get your entertainment going smoothly. The battery supplied delivers up to eight hours of battery life for mixed use, according to Amazon.
