Design and Display

The design department of the Realme 6 Pro bears features that are somewhat similar to that of the standard Realme. However, the dual front-facing camera setup and the different color variants are enough to differentiate them.

The build remains the same, its Gorilla glass 5 upfront, Glass on the rear and plastic on the frame. It isn’t the most premium setup but considering the fact, but it’s one of the best build setups on mid-range mobile Phones.

On the rear, you have a glossy design with a thunder-bolt pattern. You also have an array of quad-cameras and the Realme logo which indicates its a Realme smartphone.

Upfront there you get a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display having a dual camera cut-out which is actually the major aesthetic feature that differentiates it from the Realme 6.

This display has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 Pixels and a screen density of 399 ppi. This display is devoid of an optical fingerprint sensor, due to the presence of a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Cameras

The Realme 6 Pro makes some adjustments to the camera hardware we had on the Realme 6. Although not very substantial, replacing the depth camera with a telephoto camera is going to mean a lot to many.

The rear quad camera system is home to a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.

This quad-camera setup is capable of shooting photos in HDR and Panorama, shoot also 4k videos at 30fps and 1080p@30/60/120fps.

For selfies, you have got a dual-camera setup comprising of a 16MP primary camera and a 8MP ultrawide camera. With this setup, you can shoot photos in HDR, Panorama and also 1080p videos at 30fps.

Hardware and Software

Being a pro device, the Realme 6 Pro steps up the hardware game of its less premium sibling, which makes up for a much faster mid-range Android Phone.

As discussed in the introductory paragraph, it ditches the MediaTek G90T Processor, for a much faster Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdgron 720G Processor.

The previous 4GB RAM standard place holder has been replaced by a 6GB RAM variant. it also comes in an 8GB RAM variant, which is maxed out variant.

Storage variants remain the same. You have the option of choosing either 64GB of internal storage and 128GB of internal storage. Storage expansion via Micro-SD is also supported.

Powering the components is the same non-removable 4300mAh battery. You have also got a 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charge mechanism, which boasts of 100% charge in 57 minutes.

On the software side, you have got Realme’s user interface running on the Android 10.0 operating system.

Connectivity

The Realme 6 Pro features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-Type C port, dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Realme 6 Pro joins the list of pro smartphones without 5G support. Internet connectivity here is capped at 4G LTE. This means streaming and downloads are limited to 4G speeds.

Realme 6 Price and Availability

The price of the Realme 6 Pro starts around $238 for the base 6GB/64GB variant, which is about 87,346 Naira, 25,232 Kenyan shillings, 1,337 Ghana Cedi.

Its 8GB/128GB variant is priced around $251, which is about 92,117 Naira, 26,611 Kenyan shillings, 1,410 Ghana Cedi
