Design
Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 has an excellent and quality design. It is made of plastic, hence it is thin, light, yet stylish. This 2-in-1 laptop is relatively slim and portable with a dimension of 310mm x 214mm x 17mm and 1.35 kg weight.
Furthermore, with the 360° rotatable hinge, this laptop can be converted to tablet, tent, stand and laptop mode. The smooth plastic lid has Lenovo’s logo in silver in the top left corner of the laptop.
When opened, the lid house a 13.3-inch display screen covered by a glass layer with narrow bezel on the sides but a slightly thick bezel at the top and a huge bezel at bottom. The top bezel also accommodate the 720p webcam with a built-in privacy shutter. There is also a dual front-facing stereo speakers for immersive audio experience.
The base chassis also hosts the full-sized backlit keyboard that is engineered for comfort and typing accuracy. This keyboard is also spill-resistant, with large, curved keycaps and comfortable 1.4 mm key travel distance for optimal typing comfort. Below the keyboard sits a soft plastic touchpad for easy navigation. It’s a Microsoft Precision touchpad and so it was responsive in swiping and using multitouch gestures.
