Nokia XL – Specs and Price – 5-inch Android Phone

Nokia XL is the top member of Nokia’s line of Android based smartphones. It features a 5-inch Display and a 5 megapixels camera. Nokia XL supports Dual-SIM and comes with impressive battery life. Plus Skype, OneDrive, BBM (coming later), and Here Maps will be available for the device.

Nokia’s Low Cost 5-inch Android Phone

Nokia XL runs the Nokia X 1.0 OS, a Nokia’s customised Android OS with Windows Phone style interface with Live Tiles. It also benches Google’s services for those of Nokia and Microsoft. So, you get Nokia’s Here Maps instead of Google Maps and Microsoft’s OneDrive for cloud storage instead of Google Drive. However, it will run over 70% of current Android apps.

Nokia XL runs the Nokia X 1.0 OS on a 1.0GHz dual-core Processor with 768MB RAM and 4GB built-in storage. It also supports dual-SIM.

Display and Camera

Nokia XL has a 5.0-inch touch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. A 5 megapixels camera with LED flash and 480p video recording is provided on the rear of the phone. Nokia XL also features a 2 megapixels front facing camera for video calls.

Pricing and Availability

Nokia XL will be available in April/May with target markets Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa (yes Nigeria). We expect Nokia XL Price in Nigeria to range from N26,500 to N30,000 at launch.
