Display and Camera

In terms of display, it appears nothing will be different between Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and its previous two predecessors, as it is also expected to come with a 5.66-inch display. The touchscreen will have a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Compare that to the screen of the iPhone 6 Plus; you have a display that is bigger and sharper on this Samsung device. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will pack a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies on the front.

Hardware and Processor

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to feature its maker’s powerful Exynos 7420 SoC – the same octa-core processor that drives the current flagship smartphone Galaxy S6. This robust chip, which has four cores running a 2.1 GHz and another four at 1.5 GHz, is accompanied by very ample 4 GB of RAM.

With that combo, the phablet should deliver nothing short of awesome performance and responsiveness. It will run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, according to the leaked specs.

Other Details

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have a generous 32 GB of onboard storage memory; other storage variants are likely as well. Disappointingly, however, the phablet will supposedly not have a microSD card slot, which means you have to find a way to make do with whatever onboard storage space you have.

It has been rumoured that the Galaxy Note 5 will also be used by its Korean maker to launch its mobile payment system, Samsung Pay.

Whatever is true or false in this leaked information would be found out when official unveiling of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and an Edge variant is done August 13.
