PREPARE FOR CISA DECEMBER 2008 EXAMS

The Certified Information Systems Auditors (CISA) Examination will be taking place on December 2008. This is the right time for you to start preparing for this important international certification. In this page we have provided some locations in Nigeria (address and phone numbers) where you can get relevant training to increase your chances of success in the CISA certification test.

CISA is a programme for accessing and certifying professionals working in the Information Systems (IS) environments namely audit, control and security. For more information on CISA visit www.isaca.org

Before you can add the CISA designation you must meet the following requirements:

Pass the CISA Examination with 75% or above
Adhere to the CISA professional ethics in the exam guide
Provide evidence of five years experience in any or all IS area

Note that, not having the five years experience will not stop you from taking the Exam however you are not qualified to go by the CISA designation if you do not meet all requirements.

The examination will test your ability in performing IS audit. Questions are based on the most current development in the profession.

If you work in or plan to work in the computer audit or computer security environment the CISA certification will give you an edge in securing and retaining jobs in IS audit environment.

This opportunity is available to:

  • Accountants
  • Auditors
  • IT Professionals
  • Fresh graduates

You must also have a knack for IS audit, control and security. Lecture fees range from N55,000 to N70,000.

Training centres listed here can prepare you for success in the CISA Examination. Some of these training centres also offer preparatory lessons for other IS certifications like the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

CISSP preparatory lecture costs about 120,000 Naira and CISM cost the same as CISA in Nigeria. CISSP exam comes up in November 2008 while CISM exams will come up later in December.
