Display and Camera
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ features a large 6-inch IPS display, just like its predecessor, with built-in stylus. The capacitive screen has a Full-HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ phablet packs a 13 megapixels rear camera with flash, capable of recording Full HD (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second. A 5 megapixels front-facing camera is equally provided for taking quality selfies.
Processor and Memory
This 7.9mm-thin phablet is provided with a powerful octa-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor capable of speeds of up to 2GHz to drive its overall performance. The powerful chipset is supported by 2GB of RAM. Internal storage space on Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ is 16GB and this can be further extended by as much 32GB using a microSD.
Cyanogen OS
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ will run on Cyanogen OS 11 out of the box. This will make the device just the third to use the customised software as its native operating system, after the OnePlus One and Micromax Yureka.
It is also the first phablet with an octa-core processor to use the software natively. Cyanogen OS 11, a tweaked variant of Android 4.4 (KitKat), is renowned for its fast performance.
It gives users ability to fully customise their devices as they seem pleased. The operating system is also popular for its Privacy Guard which helps users to properly protect their personal and private information from unscrupulous characters.
Other Specifications
A battery with a significant capacity of 3100 mAh comes with the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ to provide the necessary juice needed to enjoy its different features. Among the connectivity options provided on the phablet are 3G, NFC, microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack and Wi-Fi.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ also supports Wi-Fi Direct and has proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and accelerometer, amongst other sensors.
Pricing and availability
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ is not available in Nigeria. Alcatel does not currently offer phones in Nigeria so the availability of this phone in the country is in doubt. If and when available, Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ Price in Nigeria is expected at around N60,000.
