Unveiled in February, Sony Xperia E4g is an Android smartphone with support for 4G LTE connectivity. It is designed to make your everyday life easier, according to its maker, with a powerful processor, long-lasting battery and lightning fast browsing capability.
Design and Display
Considered the 4G upgrade of the earlier Xperia E4, the new Sony Xperia E4g flaunts a relatively slim design at a thickness of 10.8 millimetres – perfect enough to easily fit into your hand. The smartphone packs a 4.7-inch display with scratch-resistant glass and resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The Cameras
The Sony Xperia E4g features a 5-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, geotagging, High Dynamic Range (HDR), auto scene recognition and image stabiliser. The auto scene recognition feature automatically adjusts camera settings to different scenes, ensuring you take superb pictures every time.
The camera supports full HD (1080 p) video recording. A 2-megapixel front-facing camera is also provided for taking selfies and making video calls.
Performance
Fitted with a quad-core processor, the Xperia E4g is designed to deliver responsive performance and make multi-tasking seamless. The MediaTek MT 6732 processor runs at 1.5GHz and is backed by 1GB of RAM.
Sony Xperia E4g runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system. Performance is backed up by a 2300 mAh battery, which Sony says has sufficient power to support more than 64 hours of music playback.
Additional Information
Sony Xperia E4g is provided with 8GB onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via the available microSD card slot. The integrated 4G LTE modem ensures users can expect blazing fast connection speeds when using internet on the device.
You need not waste time setting up the phone as the Xperia Transfer feature makes doing that a breeze. Available connectivity options in the Sony Xperia E4g also include Bluetooth 4.1 wireless technology, native USB tethering, high speed USB 2.0, 3G and Wi-Fi with hotspot functionality.
