The slate looks somewhat identical to its predecessors, but comes with more-pronounced corners. Its design features a plastic border and an aluminium panel having a metallic finish.
LG G Pad X8.3 parades a slim profile at a thickness of 8.6 millimetres and the weight is also decent at 369 grams. It crams in an 8.3-inch diagonal display with Full-HD resolution (1080p) and a pixel density of 265 ppi.
This IPS LCD panel delivers impressive clarity, great colour reproduction and enjoyable wide-angle viewing. LG G Pad X8.3 comes with a stylus for more pleasurable use by those with large fingers.
Power and Performance
Armed with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, this tablet looks like one capable of delivering impressive performance and high responsiveness. The 64-bit chip, which is clocked at 1.5 GHz, is assisted in its tasks by a decent 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 graphics processor.
The G Pad X8.3 runs on a near-stock version of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system with minor UI tweaks. Power is supplied by a large 4800mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 15 days of standby time.
