The HP Envy Note 8 is a new Windows tablet that looks designed not only to get you entertained but also to get jobs done. The productivity tablet comes with a large Bluetooth keyboard and a stylus while offering impressive note-taking capabilities.
Design and Display
Measuring 8 inches in size, the Envy Note 8 is a mini tablet. It shows off a slim and lightweight build at 7.7 millimetres and 0.8 pounds respectively. The device is designed to support on-the-go productivity with an optional premium Keyboard that works via Bluetooth.
The keyboard, which is made of aluminium, looks durable and measures 10 inches, which means it is bigger than the tablet. The HP Envy Note Keyboard Folio offers 1.5mm key travel as some high-end notebooks from its maker and has an 89x34mm click pad, which is more spacious than what you find on rival keyboard covers, including Surface’s Type Cover.
The keyboard folio has a slot in which you can position the HP Envy Note 8 in landscape or portrait mode for typing or editing.
The 8-inch diagonal display boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels for superb viewing. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. A stylus is also provided.
Power and Performance
HP Envy Note 8 is driven by an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor clocked at 1.44 GHz and running up to 1.84 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost. Graphics is handled by integrated Intel HD Graphics.
This configuration should ensure basic tasks for which the tablet is designed, such as typing and web browsing, are handled with relative ease. Latest Windows 10 operating system powers the Envy Note 8, which supposedly offers more than six hours of battery runtime.
Other Features
HP Envy Note 8 comes with its makers Instant Note, a feature which lets you put the supplied stylus to effective use. Just press the button on the pen and a note opens for you to start writing.
You can capture content and embed links to web pages with HP Instant Note. Notes are saved automatically in OneNote and you can access them from HP Notes Hub.
HP Envy Note 8 features a built-in 4G LTE module as well as speakers tuned by B&O Play. It packs a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel selfie camera.
Pricing and availability
HP Envy Note 8 is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy from reputable online stores in the country. HP Envy Note 8 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N65,000 to N120,000, depending on your location in the country.
