Design and Display
Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star features a chassis made of plastic and comes in at a thickness of 8.6 millimetres. The curved design of the phone makes it look somewhat slimmer than it actually is.
You are going to love this one if you like your device to stand apart, as there are up to 20 covers to choose from. The covers, which use materials such as wood and leather, come in diverse colours and patterns.
The Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star sports a 5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The fully-laminated IPS display, which has a pixel density of 294 ppi, promises exciting viewing experience with 160-degree wide-angle viewing and 75% less light reflection.
Camera and Storage
In the camera department, Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star packs an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, autofocus and digital image stabilisation for quality images. The snapper can be used for HD (720p) video recording at 30 frames per second.
You also get a 5-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video calls. Inbuilt storage memory is 8 GB and this is expandable by another 32 GB using a microSD card.
Power and Performance
Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star is equipped with a quad-core processor. The chip on the 3G model supposedly runs at speeds of up to 1.3 GHz, while that of the 4G variant is clocked at 1 GHz. The processor is paired with a rather measly 1 GB of RAM.
Android 5.0 Lollipop is the operating system of choice here. Juice will be supplied to the smartphone by a powerful 2000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver talk time of up to 18 hours.
