Design and Display
The OnePlus X shows off superior build quality that can be compared to some higher-end devices. Unlike many smartphones at this price point, the base model of the device has a lustrous glass rear and metal frame.
It shows off a svelte profile at a thickness of just 6.9 millimetres. OnePlus is also planning to release a limited edition ceramic version with a chassis made of premium zirconia ceramic.
OnePlus X sports a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an amazing pixel density of about 440 ppi, meaning you are in for the deepest of blacks and awesome colour reproduction.
OnePlus 3T is the latest member of the lineup.
Camera and Storage
You will be impressed by what is provided in the camera department as well. On its rear, the OnePlus X packs a robust 13-megapixel ISOCELL camera with an f/2.2 lens for capturing high quality images.
The shooter boasts blazing-fast Phase detection autofocus that lets you locks in focus in just 0.2 seconds and can be used to record Full HD (1080p) videos. There is also an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.4 aperture for taking beautiful selfies. Internal storage memory is 8 GB, extendable by up to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Processor, RAM and Other Features
The OnePlus X will be driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which, to some, might seem a bit disappointing. But the 32-bit chip promises to be as responsive as newer Snapdragon 600 series chipsets, especially when you consider the ample 3 GB of DDR3 RAM supplied.
The smartphone boots OnePlus’ OxygenOS, based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and offering exciting gesture control support. A 2525mAh battery powers the OnePlus X, which offers a dual-SIM dual standby feature. The device supports 4G LTE connectivity for lightning-fast downloading speeds.
Pricing and availability
OnePlus X will be sold on the same invitation model used for its predecessors the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 so availability in Nigeria will be limited. We currently have no data on pricing and availability for Nigeria. If and when available, OnePlus X Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N50,000 to N75,000 at launch.
