Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro Specs & Price

Best Jumia Tech Week Deals

Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro is more or less like an upgrade of the super-slim Ativ Book 9, which was introduced at the CES Show at the beginning of the year. With a stunning 4K screen resolution, Ativ Book 9 Pro boasts the best screen that has been seen on any Samsung laptop to date.

Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro Ultrabook

It is configured for exceptionally heavy-duty performance with the latest Intel Skylake processor, very generous RAM capacity and zippy solid-state drive.

Design and Display

With an aluminium chassis, it is easy to tell that Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro is a premium notebook. It parades a chic, slim profile. But it is a tad bulky at a weight of 4.45 pounds.

One of the selling points of the high-end laptop is its 15.6-inch 4K touchscreen – the best that has been seen on a notebook from the Korean maker. You should expect nothing short of jaw-dropping clarity when watching movies, playing games or doing other tasks. Only a handful of laptops can boast of a 4K display such as this right now.

Unlike in the case of the original Ativ Book 9, which was equipped with a relatively lightweight Core M processor, Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro is powered by latest Intel Core i7 Skylake processor. It is supposedly the first laptop from its manufacturer to use this new CPU.

The processor, which is paired with a very ample 8 GB of RAM, is clocked at a speed of 2.6 GHz. In addition to integrated Intel graphics, the slim notebook also comes with a powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M discrete graphics card.

This configuration makes the Ativ Book 9 Pro more than a workstation, but also a great machine for gamers.

Additional Information

Latest Windows 10 will expectedly be the platform for Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro to run on. Samsung promises six and half hours of battery life, which, if true, will be impressive when you consider the high screen resolution.

Speedy solid-state drive with a capacity of 256 GB is provided for storage. The laptop features four speakers, a USB Type-C connector and a 4K-capable HDMI out port.

Pricing and availability

Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro ultrabook is not yet available in Nigeria. Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro price in Nigeria is expected to start at around N320,000, depending on your location and the configuration of the laptop.
