Build and Screen
This is a budget slate. Therefore, you need not be surprised to find the body is made of plastic. The chassis is sleek and the edges are smooth. A thickness of about 9.4 millimetres isn’t bad, but the Bluegate BG8i is no lightweight device.
It features a huge touchscreen which measures 8 inches in diagonal size. There is no mention of the screen resolution, but this looks promising from images of the tablet.

Camera and Storage
The Bluegate BG8i is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera featuring autofocus and flashlight. It also comes with a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies.
The camera setup is not bad – on paper, at least – since this is a tablet, and a budget one at that.

Performance and OS

What you may find somewhat disappointing about this slate is that it still boots Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. That software is obsolete by current standards. It comes with some apps preloaded and you can get more from the Google Play Store.
