LG UH8500 Super UHD 4K TV Specs and Price

LG UH8500 is a cousin and fellow 2016 flagship TV to the UH9500. It is a Super UHD set like the other offering, with which it shares several features in common, including HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.

In case you are wondering the difference between the LG UH8500 and the LG UH9500, the later offers a more ultraslim design. However the major edge of the UH9500 is that it comes with a true 10-bit panel offering over a billion colour possibilities compared to the LG UH8500 and most TVs in the market that offer 8-bit panels with just over 16 million colour possibilities.

Design and Display

Like the UH9500, the LG UH8500 parades an elegant, slim design. It sports a metallic finish, combining silver and white. The LG UH8500 uses an IPS 4K Quantum Display, which shouldn’t be confused with the Quantum Dot Technology of Samsung TVs, though they are somewhat the same.

The edge-lit LED TV also boasts TruMotion 240Hz technology for blur-free and super-sharp fast-moving scenes in movies, video games and sports. It is one of the first sets to support both HDR and the more-advanced Dolby Vision, ensuring buyers can access higher dynamic range content than most other TVs.
