iLife V5 vs iLife V5 Pro

The major difference between the two robotic vacuum cleaners is their suction power. While the older iLife V5 can do 550pa, the iLife V5 Pro is capable of 850pa. This means that the V5s could pickup more stuff during cleaning.

Another major difference between the two related robotic vacuum cleaners is that though they both offer a nanofibre mop for cleaning, the iLife V5 Pro throws in a water tank. This means that the iLife V5s is be better at cleaning as it offers wet mopping.

The iLife V5s comes with a 0.3 litre dirt bin and a 0.3 litre water tank. Both cannot be used at the same time. If you want to vacuum, you install the dirt bag and when you want to mop, you install the water tank.

When you install the water tank and initiate cleaning, the water tank will start dripping water towards the floor. The nanofibre mop then follows with the drying.

The iLife V5s does not scrub, it only swipes through the floor with the mop. So, for better effect, it may be wise to add a cleaning agent to the water.

Cleaning Features

The iLife V5 and iLife V5s can operate in manual and automatic modes. In manual mode, you can use the arrow keys on the remote control to move the vacuum cleaner around the room. In auto mode, the robotic vacuum cleaner will vacuum or mop the room by moving randomly around the room.

The iLife V5 and V5s also supports spot cleaning, where you move the vacuum cleaner to a specific spot that requires a more thorough cleaning. The vacuum cleaner will spin around to clean the spot. Edge mode makes the cleaner to clean along the edges of the room.

The iLife V5 and iLife V5s has two side brushes, but lacks the rotating blade brushes available in the iLife A4. The robotic vacuum cleaners have an Anti-Collision System and Drop Avoidance System.

The iLife V5 Pro has a low noise performance of less than 50dB. The robotic vacuum cleaner can work for between 120 and 150 minutes on a full charge. You can schedule at what time you want the vacuum cleaner to begin work each day. After cleaning, the robotic vacuum cleaner will automatically go to its dock for charging.
