Elephone is a Chinese OEM which like it’s other competitors offers low priced mid-range smartphone which offers quite a lot of features. The Elephone U smartphone is one of its latest products and offers quite a nice design and interesting features. However, all of these features reflects on the price as it comes with quite a high one. How does this measure up to the features it has? Let’s see what it has to offer.

Design and Display

To an extent the Elephone U looks like it is modeled after the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.or S8 smartphone. This smartphone features an 18:9 aspect ratio and an a bezel-less display which is the same thing featured in recent premium smartphones. It is also made of plastic, metal and glass blended to give a smartphone with nice aesthetics.

In terms of design, the Elephone U smartphone is one that has quite an immersive view screen. Featuring an OLED panel is good enough but having a full HD resolution is quite impressive. Besides that there’s also a large viewing space on the Elephone U measuring up to 5.99-inch which is impressive considering the size of the smartphone itself.

Battery and Camera

Smartphones being made lately can use some more battery capacity and that is what the Elephone U offers. Although this is not a smartphone that can be regarded as one having a large battery capacity. It comes with an ample 3, 620mAh non removable Li-Po battery.

Recently the outburst of production of dual rear camera smartphones has been a common occurrence. The same trend is featured on this smartphone with a dual 13MP + 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. There’s also a possible update of face unlocking feature later on for the Elephone U.

Even when it comes to hardware, the Elephone U smartphone packs a fairly powerful MediaTek MT6763 processor running at 2.0GHz max.As for graphics, there’s an  ARM Mali-G71 MP2 GPU handling things.

Moving on, you’ve got a massive 4GB/6GB internal memory space alongside a 64GB/128GB built-in storage capacity expandable to 256GB with the aid of a MicroSD card. The Elephone U runs Android 7.0 Nougat from the box but Elephone promises an Android 8.0 Oreo update in the future.
