Design and Display
The Gionee M12 has a nice body that is wrapped with all plastic which is more durable than a glass body. The panel is housing the quad-camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint. The phone measures 163.9 x 76.8 x 9.3 mm and weighs 196 grams.
On the front, it has a glass fitted with a 6.55-inch IPS LCD screen that provides an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Gionee M12 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent.
Camera
On the upper-left corner of the screen is a punch-hole that features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The backside has a vertical camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel Samsung GD1 lens with f/1.79 aperture, an additional 5-megapixel ultrawide shooter with 115-degree FOV, and a pair of 2-megapixel auxiliary lenses. The camera has LED flash, HDR, panorama, and can shoot 1080p videos quality.

The Gionee M12 is powered by MediaTek Helio A25 chipset clocking at 4×1.8 GHz octa-core processor while the second model has Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 clocked at 2.0 GHz octa-core.
They are both paired with 12nm process technology and they have a PowerVR GE8320 graphics card. On the inbuilt memory, the first has 64GB with 4GB RAM while the second model is equipped with 128GB and 6GB RAM.
Battery and Network
The Gionee M12 is backed by a non-removable battery of 5,100mAh that supports 10W charging. You will also get some other features on the phone such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, USB-C, a rear-facing fingerprint reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It’s powered by Android 10 OS and has a microSD card slot for additional storage.
Gionee M12 Price and Availability
The Gionee M12 is now available for purchase and it’s currently selling for $196 which is about 75,000 Naira for the Helio A22 variant while the other model costs 85,000 Naira (~$223). In Ghana, the handset will sell starting from 1,150 Ghs and 22,000 Ksh in Kenya.
