Tecno Pop 7 is an entry-level Android smartphone manufactured by Tecno Mobile. The device is the lower version of the Tecno Pop 7 Pro and the successor of the Tecno Pop 6 launched last year. It is aimed at budget-conscious consumers who desire impressive performance, a sleek design, large display, good camera and big battery capacity. The Tecno Pop 7 has 6.6 inches display, dual camera setup including an 8 MP wide lens, and a massive 5000 mAh battery.

Design and Display

Tecno Pop 7 design is nothing unique. It’s just like other entry level phones with a beautiful, sleek, and sturdy plastic body. For an entry-level smartphone, the Pop 7 design is quite slim, measuring 163.9 x 75.5 x 8.9 mm in dimension, so its comfortable to hold.

The front has a 6.6 inches display with slim bezels surrounding the screen, thanks to the 84.6% screen-to-body ratio. There is also a waterdrop notch at the center top of the screen for front facing camera. This phone also has micro-curve edges.

The Tecno Pop 7 6.6-inch IPS LCD display comes with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels. It has a 20:9 ratio and 60Hz refresh rate. This means that the display updates its image 60 times per second, although, this refresh rate is not as good as the 90Hz or 120Hz, it still enable you to enjoy a smoother and more fluid image. Furthermore, the IPS LCD display technology used in the Tecno Pop 7 is known for its wide viewing angles and good color reproduction.

The back of the Tecno Pop 7 has a rectangular camera module, positioned at the left side corner. Inside the module, there is the dual camera lens, a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor for easy security access.

The Tecno Pop 7 power and volume buttons were located at the right corner. Meanwhile, on the left corner is a SIM /microSD card slot. The bottom edge, there’s a micro-USB port and microphone while the 3.5mm headphone jack is located on top.

Tecno Pop 7 features a dual camera setup on the rear including an 8-megapixel wide camera and another unspecified camera. At the front there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
