Tecno Spark 9 Pro is the successor of the Spark 8 Pro. It is the first of the 2022 iteration of the Tecno Spark Series. Though retaining the same Mediatek Helio G85 as its predecessor, the Tecno Spark 9 Pro offers an upgraded front and rear cameras, a slightly smaller display upgraded with 90Hz refresh rate, and new software.

The Design and Display
Tecno Spark 9 Pro features shinny textured back and with flat sides both made of plastic available in Quantum Black, Burano Blue, Holy White and Hacker Storm. The front is covered in glass with a V-cutout provided for the front camera. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side.
The display is slightly smaller than what was provided in the Spark 8 Pro. Now, the screen ha been decreased from 6.8-inches to 6.6-inches. However, you get a better display with faster refresh rate meaning less blur when watching fast paced movies or playing games.
The 6.6-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and will be great for watching movies and browsing the web. At 6.6-inches, the Spark 9 Pro measures the same as the Spark 8C and Spark 8T.
Cameras
Tecno Spark 9 Pro features an upgraded Selfie camera. This is perhaps the most outstanding upgrade on the device. You now get a 32 megapixels camera as against 8 megapixels in the previous generation. The camera has a f/2.45 aperture.
The camera on the back is also improved. You get a 50 megapixels AI triple camera. 50 MP main camera with F/1.6 aperture, a 2 MP in-depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP AI Lens with an f/2.0 aperture. This should be great for capturing those great moments. Both cameras can handle full HD videos.
Hardware and Software
Tecno Spark 9 Pro retains the same Mediatek Helio G85 as its predecessor. This is the same processor we saw in the Infinix Note 12i, the Hot 12, and the Tecno Pova Neo 2. The chips runs a dual-core Cortex-A78 and a hexa-core Cortex A55 at 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. Graphics in handled by a Arm Mali-G52 GPU.
This Tecno phone is available with 128GB built-in storage with the option of 4GB or 6GB RAM. A dedicated microSD slot for expansion. The smartphone supports fast charging, though the capacity has dropped from 33W to 18W. This will still charge your 5000 mAh battery pretty fast.
It runs on Android 12 with HiOS 8.6 out of the box.
