At just 5.8mm thick, it’s one of the slimmest flagship phones on the market, yet it feels remarkably sturdy in the hand. It features an overall dimension of 158.2 x 75.6 x 5.8 mm and weighs 163 g; hence, it feels more comfortable to hold and easier to carry around.

Samsung has refined the curved-edge design, softening the contour to reduce accidental touches while maintaining the immersive, wraparound screen effect that has become iconic to the Edge series.

The device is framed in Titanium Armor Aluminum, giving it a lightweight but durable build that feels solid without adding unnecessary bulk. It offers improved resistance to drops and bending, enhancing long-term durability.

The front of this device features Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 sheet, while the back panel is clad in Gorilla Glass Victus 3, a premium material that offers scratch resistance and a silky matte finish that resists fingerprints and smudges. On paper, it mirrors the display found on the Galaxy S25+, but in practice, it delivers an experience that feels more immersive thanks to its curved-edge design.

The panel is rich, vibrant, and razor-sharp, with deep blacks and punchy colors that showcase Samsung’s long-standing dominance in OLED technology. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth scrolling and responsive touch input, while adaptive refresh functionality helps optimize power efficiency by adjusting the rate based on content.

Unfortunately, as with previous Samsung flagships, Dolby Vision remains absent—a long-standing omission that puts it a step behind competitors like Apple and some Android rivals in terms of premium HDR support.

Additionally, the color depth is 8-bit rather than true 10-bit, relying on dithering to simulate higher fidelity. This means that while most users will find the colors rich and dynamic, professional users seeking ultra-accurate color representation might find it limiting.

With a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, the screen remains easily readable in harsh sunlight, making outdoor use effortless.

HDR10+ support brings out dramatic contrast and detail in high dynamic range content, and the high resolution makes everything from text to high-res images look incredibly crisp. Watching movies or editing photos feels incredibly precise and cinematic.

Samsung also includes extensive display settings, allowing users to tweak color profiles, white balance, and even enable Eye Comfort Shield for reduced blue light strain.

The curved edges subtly enhance visual immersion without being overly aggressive, avoiding the accidental touches that plagued earlier Edge designs. Samsung’s refined curvature strikes a balance between form and usability, making the screen feel expansive without compromising control.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge trims down the camera setup compared to its Ultra sibling but still delivers a compelling photography experience.

On the rear, it features a dual-camera system: a 200MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The highlight here is the 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, borrowed directly from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which brings flagship-grade performance to the more streamlined Edge variant.

The 200MP primary camera delivers sharp, vibrant images by default through pixel binning, combining 16 pixels into one to produce 12.5MP photos with excellent dynamic range and low-light performance. The level of detail is impressive, especially in good lighting, and Samsung’s image processing continues to favor punchy colors and strong contrast that many users find visually appealing.

While there’s no dedicated telephoto lens, the main sensor supports 2x “optical quality” zoom by cropping into the high-resolution image, with digital zoom capabilities extending up to 10x. It’s a clever compromise and works surprisingly well for moderate zoom shots.

Detail remains intact, and the transition is smooth. However, beyond 2x, image quality starts to drop, and digital zoom introduces softness and noise, especially in low light. This lack of a true telephoto lens limits its versatility compared to triple- or quad-camera setups.

By default, the main camera uses pixel binning to combine 16 pixels into one, outputting sharp and balanced 12MP images. Impressively, whether you shoot at 12MP or push the sensor to its full 200MP resolution, the tonal balance and color science remain consistent, rich, vibrant, and contrast-heavy, with a slightly saturated aesthetic that makes photos look striking right out of the camera. The 200MP mode is best suited for daylight or controlled lighting conditions, where it can capture incredible detail for cropping or large-scale printing.

Completing the main camera is the 12MP ultra-wide shooter. This lens performs reliably, capturing wide landscapes and group shots with minimal edge distortion and decent color consistency. While not groundbreaking, it complements the main camera well and helps round out the shooting experience.

On the front, the 12MP selfie camera captures crisp, flattering photos with accurate skin tones and natural-looking background blur in portrait mode.

Samsung’s software suite further enhances the experience. Shooting modes like Panorama, Dual Recording, Expert RAW, Night Mode, and Pro Mode give users granular control over their shots. Stabilization is strong, keeping footage smooth even when walking or panning.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a souped-up version of Qualcomm’s top-tier chipset, tailored specifically for Samsung’s flagship devices.

Built on a 3nm process, this chip features Oryon V2 cores, split into two ultra-fast Prime cores clocked at 4.47GHz and six Performance cores at 3.53GHz, delivering blistering speed and next-gen multitasking. Paired with the Adreno 830 GPU, which includes three rendering slices clocked up to 1.2GHz, the S25 Edge is an absolute beast when it comes to handling demanding apps, high-refresh-rate gaming, and AI-heavy processing.

The Android phone comes in two variants, 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, offering lightning-fast data access and smooth app performance. There’s no microSD card slot, but with this much high-speed internal storage, that won’t be a concern for most users.

Additionally, Samsung promises 7 years of major OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches, aligning it with the industry’s most future-proof devices. The enterprise variant even bumps this up to 8 years of updates, making the Edge a long-term investment.

Powering all of this is a 3,900mAh battery, a modest capacity compared to the 4,900mAh in the S25+ or the 4,000mAh in the standard S25. However, thanks to efficient silicon and smart battery management via Galaxy AI, the device still manages to deliver a full day of average use. It supports 25W wired charging, hitting around 55% in 30 minutes, and 15W wireless charging (Qi2 ready). Reverse wireless charging is also supported, though not the fastest in class.
