Best Jumia Tech Week Deals

Mi Note Pro is Xiaomi’s flagship phone for 2015. It is exactly the same size as the Mi Note, but offers a more brilliant display, Zippier octa-core processor, more RAM (4GB), and comes with the all new Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) out of the box for a more solid performance that justifies the Pro branding. Xiaomi Mi Note Pro also features state of the art Cat9 LTE with download speeds of up to 450 Mbps for superfast downloads and seamless HD video streaming.

Hardware & Software

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro retains the same 5.7-inch IPS display of the Mi Note, but the display resolution have been increased from 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD) to 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD) for a more brilliant view for watching movies, browsing the web, reading, and playing games.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro boasts of the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, which consists of a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and a 2.0GHz quad-core processor. This when combined with the 4GB RAM leaves no one in doubt the Xiaomi is not compromising on performance with the Mi Note Pro.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro sports a 3,090mAh battery, slightly larger than the 3,000mAh battery of the Mi Note. It may be the case that you won’t notice the slight increase in battery life, but that depends on the performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor (which utilizes eight cores – octa-core – instead of the four cores of the Snapdragon 801).

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro retains some similarity to the Mi Note, one being its cameras. Just like the Mi Note, Xiaomi’s Mi Note Pro features a 13 megapixels rear camera and a 4 megapixels front camera.

As does the Mi Note, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features Gorilla Glass 3 on the front display and the back cover, with an aluminum metal band around the device. Both front and back glass comes with a curved design.

The Conclusion

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro comes with a few more advanced features such as a Quad HD screen resolution, octa-core processor, more RAM, and a slightly larger battery. For the changes between the Mi Note Pro and the regular Mi Note, you’ll pay an extra 1,000 yuan ($150 more) more for the Mi Note Pro than the Mi Note (3,299 yuan vs. 2,299 yuan, respectively).

The company claimed during its presentation that the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro take their inspirational cues from the iPhone, but we get the feeling that Apple is not the only top tech company that inspired Xiaomi.
