Surface Pro 3

This slate is designed for those who are willing to trade some storage space for a bit of more power.

Design and Display

This professional-grade tablet is virtually the same as the earlier Surface Pro 3 in terms of design and display. It is slim and lightweight to make it easy for you to carry around for work without issues.

The tablet packs a similar 12-inch screen with an impressive resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels for a pixel density of 216 ppi. Microsoft again reflected its desire to see its Surface Pro 3 tablet serve as a good alternative to a laptop.

Pair this slate with a Type Cover or Touch Cover keyboard and you have something that can serve the same purpose as a regular notebook.

This is where Microsoft decided to make, perhaps, the only change in its Surface Pro 3. The new tablet packs a powerful Intel Core i7 processor to deliver more impressive performance. Essentially, you will be trading built-in storage memory for performance by buying this new slate.

This is because there was already a Surface Pro 3 variant that commanded same price as this one which has 128 GB of storage, but that variant comes with an Intel Core i5 processor and 256 GB of storage. The Core i7 processor is backed by generous RAM of 8GB capacity for truly powerful performance.

Other Features

The new Surface Pro 3 with Core i7 will run on Windows 8.1 operating system out of the box, but it is eligible for free upgrade to Windows 10. This will enable users enjoy cool features of the latest Microsoft operating system, which has superb ability in seamlessly transforming hybrids from one mode to another.

It has a full-size USB 3.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort and a microSD card slot. The tablet also features a stylus and a kickstand. Bluetooth 4.0 and the latest Wi-Fi 802.11ac are provided for connectivity.

Pricing and availability

The new Surface Pro 3 is not yet available in Nigeria, though earlier models are available. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 price in Nigeria is expected to start around N250,000, depending on your location and the configuration of the laptop.
