Build and Display

As would be expected of a budget notebook, the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 features a plastic construction. It has a slim profile and is also lightweight at a thickness of just 17.9 millimetres and a weight of only 1.15 kilograms.

It has a mineral gray cover featuring a dotted textile pattern and is accompanied by a full-size chiclet keyboard. Its touchpad supports Windows 10 gestures. The notebook boasts a fan-less design, thanks to its power-efficient processor.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 sports an 11.6-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Performance and Operating System

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 is powered by a dual-core Intel Celeron mobile processor running at speeds up to 1.6 GHz – good enough for the intended users of the notebook. The CPU is paired with a decent 2 GB of RAM.

One thing this laptop has over Chromebooks is the fact that it runs on a full-featured Windows operating system – the latest Windows 10 at that. The platform offers you more capabilities than the lightweight, browser-based Chrome OS.

Additional Information

Like Chromebooks, the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 will have a meagre 16 GB of eMMC storage. However, there is also 32GB model. There is an SD card slot for adding more storage space. Since this is a cloud-focused notebook, you get up to 1 TB of OneDrive storage and Office 365 Personal subscription for one year.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 features dual digital microphones with enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) to enable you enjoy the use of voice-based apps like Cortana and Skype on the new Windows 10.

It has USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and full-size HDMI ports. Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac are provided for wireless connectivity. The web-oriented laptop also has a VGA webcam.
