Display and Camera
As is fitting of an upgrade, the Oppo F1 Plus is equipped to offer users better colours and improved screen clarity. It comes with a bigger 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1080p) resolution, compared to the 5-inch HD (720p) screen on the Oppo F1. The IPS display is protected and given a curvy touch by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
The phablet will be powerfully configured on the camera front as well. Oppo F1 Plus is to feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus.
There is no information on the selfie camera at this time, but Oppo promises something more sophisticated. One can only imagine what the front-facing snapper will be like given the F1 already comes with an amazing 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
Hardware and Software
The Oppo F1 Plus will be pushed along by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor, which runs along at speeds of up to 1.5 GHz. The robust 64-bit chip will be paired with an Adreno 405 GPU and a more generous 4 GB of RAM. Expect nothing less than highly-responsive performance on this phone.
Onboard storage is 32 GB, which should be enough for storing your files and apps. MicroSD storage expansion of up to 128 GB is also supported if you need extra space.
The F1 Plus runs on Oppo’s Color OS 2.1 software, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Other Features
Like most dual-SIM devices being pushed onto the market these days, the Oppo F1 Plus has a hybrid SIM slot that can take either a SIM card or a microSD card.
It supports lightning-fast 4G LTE connectivity. You will also get Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless connectivity.
