Design and Display

One may not exactly describe the appearance of the Lenovo Tab3 7 as ground-breaking. But for an affordable tablet, the design is decent. The 260g device sports slim bezels which make it feel more like a phablet in a way.

The rear panel has a slightly textured feel to it. Its maker says it features water-repellent coating, meaning you won’t need to bother much if you get caught in the rain with the Tab3 7.

The slate’s 7-inch display has a resolution of 600 x 1,024 pixels. A pixel density of about 170 ppi, sadly, won’t let you get the best viewing out of the IPS panel when watching movies with friends.

However, an Adaptive Display technology helps to filter out blue light to avert eyestrain, especially useful for children.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Lenovo Tab3 7 packs a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1 GHz and backed by 1 GB of RAM. Simple tasks and movie watching should not suffer here, but enjoyable multitasking and gaming may be a struggle.
