Asus Transformer 3 Pro

Design and Display

This premium hybrid parades similar aluminium construction as the ASUS Transformer 3. The design looks a lot similar to that of the Surface Pro 4. Similarities include a metal kickstand and a hinge that let use the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro at angles of up to 170 degrees.

It is just about as slim and lightweight as the Microsoft high-end tablet at 8.35 millimetres and 795 grams. You get a backlit-keyboard offering a key travel of 1.4 mm for a real laptop-like typing.

The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro uses similar 12.6-inch display as its smaller sibling. The touchscreen has same resolution of 2,880 x 1,920 pixels and a pixel density of 275 for sharp pictures and vivid colours. The pixel density is a bit better than those of the Surface Pro 4 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Pen support is available.

The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro will be driven by seventh-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. The heavy-duty CPU is backed by up to 16 GB of RAM, twice the maximum capacity available on the Transformer 3. It is normal to expect this to deliver better performance.

This expectation is further guaranteed with the use of up to four PCIe SSDs offering up to 1TB capacity. ASUS has for buyers a ROG XG Station 2 accessory that lets you use an external graphics card to enjoy desktop-grade gaming on this 2-in-1.

Miscellaneous Features

You get a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera on the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro for capturing high-resolution images and videos. There is also a front-facing camera with Windows Hello support for facial biometric authentication.

The hybrid beats Microsoft Surface Pro 4 with its port offerings, which include USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 3 port, full-size USB 3.0 port, full-size HDMI port, and microSD card reader. Rich sound is covered by a pair of front-facing stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.

Pricing and Availability

Asus Transformer 3 Pro is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy it at leading online stores in the country. Asus Transformer 3 Pro Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N300,000 to N450,000 depending on your location in Nigeria.
