Lenovo Yoga Book Specs & Price

Lenovo Yoga Book is an innovative 2-in-1 launched at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. It ditches the physical keyboard for a separate and more versatile touchscreen keyboard (a.k.a Halo keyboard) that can also be used for more natural note-taking, sketching, and drawing using the included Stylus Pen. Lenovo Yoga Book will be available with either Android 6 or Windows 10.

Designed for Productivity

Lenovo Yoga Book offers an innovative design. It is essentially two touchscreens joined together with a hinge. One of the touchscreens is a normal IPS display for viewing your content, while the other is the Halo keyboard with haptic feedback that shows-up when needed.

The Lenovo Yoga Book features a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. This should be great for watching movies and browsing the web. The display offers 400 nits brightness and 70% colour gamut.

The Halo keyboard is more of a touchpad made of matte glass that lights-up to show the keys. It is essentially a Wacom graphics tablet. The virtual buttons only lights up when needed. When the Halo keyboard is off, it can be used as a pad for taking notes, drawing, or making sketches.

The two are held together by a hinge that support 360º rotation for the four Yoga modes. Lenovo Yoga Book offers a premium metal body from an alloy of Aluminium and Magnesium. It is super thin, measuring just 4.5mm when open and 9.6 mm when closed.

Write on Paper

Lenovo Yoga Book comes with a Stylus Pen that comes with real ink. The stylus, called Real Pen that allows you write on real paper. You just have to place the paper on the touchpad side of the 2-in-1. Anything you write or draw on the paper will be digitized, translated, and displayed on the 10.1-inch display exactly the way it appears on the paper.

Lenovo Yoga Book supports paper that is up to 1cm thick. This means you can comfortably take your notes and make your sketches on a jotter or writing pad. If you prefer, you can write on the touchpad directly. However, you have to remove the ink tip and replace with a plastic tip. The Pen offers 2,048 levels of pressure and does not require batteries.

Hardware and Software

Lenovo Yoga Book comes with either Windows 10 or Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The 2-in-1 is loaded with Microsoft productivity software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Lenovo Yoga Book is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8550 Processor. The processor offers four cores that can be clocked to up to 2.4GHz. Lenovo Yoga Book sports 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. You can add up to 128GB of additional storage via a microSD card.

Lenovo Yoga Book is equipped with Dolby Atmos speakers to deliver great sound quality to you. The convertible offers a microUSB port and a microHDMI port. For your data, the Lenovo Yoga Book supports Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. A 2 megapixels front facing camera and a 5 megapixels rear facing camera are also provided for your photography, selfies, and video calls.

Lenovo Yoga Book is loaded with an 8500 Li-Po Battery and boasts of up to 13 hours of use.

Pricing and Availability

Lenovo Yoga Book is not yet available in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. When available, you can buy the 2-in-1 at leading online stores in the countries. Lenovo Yoga Book Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 160,000 Naira to 200,000 Naira depending on your location in Nigeria and whether you prefer Windows or Android.
