The Design
HTC U Ultra offers a similar design as the HTC U Play with the front and back covered in glass and a metal frame. The phablet is available in Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, Ice White, Sapphire Blue and like the iPhone 7 Plus lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
Display and Cameras
HTC U Ultra sports a 5.7-inch super LCD 5 display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The display looks brilliant for watching movies and browsing the web. Above the main screen, the HTC U Ultra has a secondary screen for displaying updates, notifications, and shortcuts without interruptions.
The secondary screen measures 2.05-inch with a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. A 16 megapixels camera is provided in the front for taking selfies. The camera has an UltraPixel mode that lets in 4 times more light for brighter selfies. The front is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There will also be a model with Sapphire Crystal glass.
HTC U Ultra sports a brilliant 12 megapixels camera on the back. The camera features dual LED flash, Phase detection autofocus, Laser focus, Optical Image Stabilisation, Auto-HDR, Panorama, and Slow Motion.
Hardware and Software
HTC U Ultra runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. The chipset offers two dual-core processors clocked at 2.15GHz and 1.6GHz respectively. HTC U Ultra sports 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB built-in storage. You can add up to 256GB memory card.
HTC U Ultra support 4G LTE on all networks in Nigeria including Glo, MTN, Etisalat, Smile, NTel, and InterC. It offers download speeds of up to 600Mbps. HTC U Ultra offers NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Front facing fingerprint sensor, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
