Design

Similar to the ZBook Fury 15 G7, the HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 is thinner and sleeker than its predecessor. It is sleek and light-weighted with an all-aluminum chassis. The body is rugged, yet durable with credibility for MIL-STD 810G testing.

This laptop has a flat lid which can be easily opened with one hand.

In addition, the lid has some slight changes that differentiate it from its predecessor. It has a large Z stamped logo on the lid instead of the regular HP logo, which gives the ZBook series a ring to its name.

Similarly, the HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 lid accommodates the 17.3-inch screen when opened with thin bezel around it. The top bezel, although thin host a 720p HD webcam, while the bottom bezel only host the HP logo embedded in the middle.

This laptop also comes with a 180% hinge which holds the the screen to the body. There is also a Full-size, spill-resistant, backlit keyboard on the laptop base with 1.5mm travel distance, numerous programmable keys and separate numeric keypad on the left.

The HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 also has a large multi-touch gestures touchpad with glass surface for easy navigation.

For interface connectivity, this lptop has a nano Kensington Lock, one gigabit RJ45 ethernet port, USB Type-A 5Gbps with charging, HDMI 2.0, and a smart card reader on the left. HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 comes with three optional display panels. This includes a 17.3-inch  FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS anti-glare non-touch display. This Full HD model comes with 300 nits of brightness and 72% Color Gamut.

There is also a non touch panel with 17.3 inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS display with 550 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 and ambient light sensor.

Similarly, the Fury 17 G7 has a premium non touch model with 17.3-inch UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) IPS panel with ambient light sensor and 550 nits of brightness. This display also offers support for HDR 400 capability and 100% DCI-P3 Next Gen HP Dream Color display for excellent picture quality.

HP ZBook Fury 17 G7 also has a touchscreen model which has similar features has the non touch premium model with a difference of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen against damage from drops.

Performance

The ZBook Fury 17 G7 is powered by the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processors with options for up to the eight-core Intel Core i9-10885H processor. There is a premium choice equipped with Intel Xeon W-10885M Processor.

The Intel Xeon W-10885M model has 8 cores, 16 MB L3 cache with 2.4 GHz base frequency, and up to 5.3 GHz with Intel turbo boost technology, hence, it offers an improved overall system performance.

On the other hand, we have another model with the eight-core Intel Core i9-10885H processor. This processor clocks at between 2.4 and 5.3 GHz and can execute up to sixteen threads simultaneously thanks to Hyper-Threading.

There is also a model equipped with the Intel Core i7-10850H Processor. This 6 core processor clocks at between 2.7 base frequency and 5.1 GHz turbo boost. Likewise, there is the Intel Core i7-10750H Processor with similar 6 core and can also execute up to twelve threads with the 2.6 GHz base frequency, and up to 5.0 GHz Intel turbo boost.
