Design and Display
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus packs a premium body design. The smartphone has a similar design to its predecessor but with some little changes. It maintained a centered punch hole in the front screen and the rear camera is still a rectangular slab though bigger now.
However, you will notice a Ceramic Cloud Window to the right of the camera housing. This ceramic has an effect it displays when it reflects the sky. The handset is available in black, blue, and orange. The black variant is built with glass while the orange and blue variants are wrapped in plain leather.
On the display, it offers 6.78 inches with 1440 x 3200 pixels, a 20:9 ratio, and 517 PPI density. It makes use of Samsung’s E5 AMOLED and also features a 300Hz touch sampling rate (1000Hz max), 120Hz variable refresh rate, and maximum brightness of 1500 nits. This display received an A+ certification rating from DisplayMate.
Cameras
As for the camera, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus has a 48MP micro-pan-tilt ultrawide angle camera with 360° Horizontal Levelling Stabilization, another 50MP main camera, a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait camera, and an 8MP telescope camera with 5x optical zoom and 60x superzoom.
The handset uses a Low-Dispersion High-Transmittance Glass Lens for its camera. The Vivo X70 Pro Plus also comes with four classic ZEISS lenses as well just like its siblings. The lenses include Contax Distagon, Hasselblad Planar, Contax Biotar, and Olympia Sonnar.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is a Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888+ 5G processor based on 5nm process technology with LPDDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has an inbuilt memory of up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The smartphone has an IP68 rating which is the same rating available on Apple and Samsung flagship phones. It packs on Android 11 OS.
Battery and Network
Fueling the X70 Pro Plus is a 4500mAh battery with 55W flash wired charging support. It also has support for wireless fast charging and reverse wireless charging. Other features on the phone are NFC, 5G network, GPS, in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
