Google has added a link to Google Play Store on its Nav bar, giving users of Google services one click access to the store. Google Play is Google’s unified store for apps, games, music, movies, and ebooks. Adding a link to Google Play Store on the nav bar is probably part of Google strategy of unifying its services and making them more accessible to users.

The new Google Play link seats between Google Maps and Google News. Google is using nav bar to link to its core services. It could be argued that services linked on Google Nav bar are services that Google consider very important. Other services on the Nav bar include Google Search, Google+, Google Images, Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and Translate.
Google nav bar also contains an More link which reveals services like Blogger and Reader.
