MTN has launched a service that allows her subscribers to enjoy the same call rates and service conditions within and outside their home country. This service called MTN One World will allow MTN subscribers to enjoy the same local call rates in any country were MTN One world is available.

Currently, MTN One world is available in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Benin republic. MTN subscribers in any of these countries will enjoy the same local call rates as if they are in their own home country. Their will be no roaming charges for MTN subscribers whose country belong to one world as long as they remain in an MTN one world territory. Such subscribers will not be charged for incoming calls in any MTN one-world territory.

MTN subscribers can also recharge phone with local recharge card from any member country. MTN One World is available to both prepaid and post paid customers. MTN One World is currently available in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Benin Republic.

MTN has presence in 21 markets in Africa and Middle East and intend connecting all her operations to One World before the end of 2009.

Zain was the first telecoms company to come up with the concept of borderless network. Today Zain’s Borderless network called Zain One Network, connects 15 countries in Africa and Middle East.
