Samsung Galaxy S II is a powerful, yet super slim and lightweight Android smartphone. It is a follow-up of the very popular Samsung Galaxy S, taking advantage of the improvements in mobile technology. Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II runs Gingerbread (Android version 2.3), but is upgradeable to Jelly Bean. The super-fast dual-core processor offers super-fast performance on the Galaxy S II. The Samsung Galaxy S II is designed for super-fast performance. Its powerful dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor offers impressive performance, leading to smooth multitasking and super-fast performance for a superior mobile communications and entertainment experience. Samsung Galaxy S2 features 1GB RAM, which, combined with the dual-core processor, offers a smooth performance.

Samsung Galaxy S II runs the Google Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread). Like most Android Smartphones, it comes preloaded with Google Mobile services and apps like Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Books, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Voice Translation, and Picasa.

The display is brilliant with a crisp, clear view and great colour rendering. It offers a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.

Watch your full HD videos directly on your smartphone display. Samsung 9100 Galaxy S II also features a much better camera than the 5MP camera on the Galaxy S. Samsung Galaxy S II has a built-in 8 megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording. The camera also features Autofocus, Smile detection, LED Flash, and Video light. Galaxy S II also features a 2MP front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy S II supports both 2G (GSM Quad-band) and 3G (WCDMA) networks. On 3G networks, Galaxy S 2 accesses high-speed data on HSDPA/UMTS. Samsung Galaxy S supports HSPA+, just like the Motorola Atrix 4G, for super-fast internet (up to 21Mbps) for a great experience with video streaming and downloads.

Outside 3G coverage, users will access data services on GPRS and EDGE. It accesses wireless LAN networks with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and DLNA support. The Galaxy S II features a full HTML browser and Flash support to give you a PC-like web browsing experience.

Samsung Galaxy S II supports Bluetooth 3.0 for short-range wireless connectivity. Users can transfer files from/to their computer wirelessly via Bluetooth, as well as share content wirelessly with other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

It also features USB 2.0. Samsung Galaxy S II features NFC (Near Field Communication), which is a short-range high-frequency wireless communications technology for contactless credit card payments. NFC can also be used for ticket reservations, faster and easy Bluetooth pairing, reading RFID tags for interactive advertising, Electronic key, Electronic ID, etc.
