Design, Display, and Camera
Tecno Pop 7 Pro comes in a body a bit similar to the Pop 6 Pro. It is about the same size as the 6 Pro and comes in a plastic body. The design is very similar to the Tecno Spark Go 2023. The front is covered in glass with a dewdrop notch for the front camera.
On the back, you have a similar two camera setup, but the main camera has been boosted from 8MP to 13 megapixels. This hopefully should improve the quality of photography out of this device. Dual-LED flash is provided for the rear camera. The front camera is still a 5 megapixels camera.
Tecno Pop 7 Pro sports a 6.56-inch IPS display with a 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. The android phone is available in Turquoise Cyan and Atlantic Blue.
Hardware and Software
Tecno Pop 7 Pro retains the same Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm) chipset we saw in the Pop 6 Pro. In fact, this is the same chipset provided for the older Tecno Pop 5 Pro and smartphones like the Nokia C100 and Nokia C200. Recent models like the Infinix Smart 7 and Tecno Spark Go 2023 also sport the same chipset.
So, essentially Tecno has not upgraded the chipset in the last three generations of the Pop Pro editions. What they have done is to increase the onboard RAM from 2GB to 3GB and the onboard ROM from 32GB to 64GB.
In addition, the Pop 7 Pro supports Extended RAM which enable you add up to 3GB of virtual RAM to bring total RAM to 6GB. This could make this device run a bit more smoothly.
Tecno Pop 7 Pro runs on Android 12 with HiOS 12 skin. The affordable android phone sports a 5000 mAh battery, which should offer a decent battery life.
