Etisalat, the owner of the fifth GSM license in Nigeria have finally launched GSM services in the country after some weeks of speculation. Etisalat have consistently promised competitive call rates, state of the art technology, superior service quality, and have not hidden their aggressive subscriber intake plan.

An Etisalat number starts with 0809 that is why the company have coined 0809ja ads with 9ja pronounced as Naija (080naija).

Currently Etisalat has embarked on a campaign called Etisalat 0809uchoose campaign. Etisalat 0809uchoose allows you to select and reserve any Etisalat number from 08098000000 to 08098999999 as your personal Etisalat number.
