How to Watch DSTV on your Mobile Phone

To watch DSTV Mobile on your phone, you need a Wi-Fi enabled smartphone running a supported version of any of these platforms: Symbian, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone (eg. Nokia Lumia), or iOS (eg. iPhone). Because, most mobile phones do not come with built-in DVB-H receiver, you need an additional accessory to watch DSTV Mobile.

A Wi-Fi Drifta is the only accessory suitable for mobile phones. It receives the DSTV Mobile signals and broadcasts it to your phone over Wi-Fi. Another option exists for owners of iOS based devices like iPad 4 and iPhone 5. The iDrifta for iOS receives the signal and pipes it to your phone via the Apple 30-pin connector. To connect recent iOS devices like the iPhone 5 and iPad 4, you will require an Apple 30-pin to lightning adaptor. The Wi-Fi Drifta costs 12,250 Naira, while the iDrifta costs 9,500 Naira.

DSTV Mobile offers up to 16 DSTV channels. Channels available include news, documentary, sports, music, movies, entertainment, and more. Two channels are free (NTA and AIT), but DSTV offers 3 months free DSTV Mobile subscription, if you buy a Drifta Wi-Fi or an iDrifta from any of their authorised outlets in Nigeria.
