The latest generation Kindle tablets, the Kindle Fire HDX 7 and the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is now coming to Amazon UK Store. Consumers in UK can now pre-order Amazon’s best tablet so far at the online store. The new Kindle Fire HDX devices feature 7-inch or 8.9-inch HDX displays, a quad-core 2.2 GHz processor, 11 hours of battery life, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus audio. The tablet will ship from November 19.
Pre-order for Kindle Fire HDX began earlier this month in the United States and will start shipping from November 2. So consumers in the US will be getting the device more than 2 weeks earlier than their counterparts in the UK. Kindle Fire HDX 7, costs from £199, and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, is available from £329.
The Kindle Fire HDX offers 3 times faster processors and 4 times faster graphics performance than last year’s Kindle Fire HD and runs the latest version of Fire OS “Mojito” (Fire OS 3.0). The Fire HDX also features brilliant displays with the 7-inch model offering 1920 x 1200 pixels and the 8.9-inch models offering 2560 x 1600 pixels.
Kindle Fire HDX offers a dedicated button Amazon calls Mayday button. According to Amazon “With a single tap, an Amazon expert will appear on your Fire HDX who can co-pilot you through any feature by drawing on your screen, walking you through how to do something yourself, or doing it for you whatever works best. Mayday is available 24/7, 365 days a year, and its free.”
