Design and Display
This phone is virtually the same as Oppo Mirror 5 in terms of design. It has a sleek exterior with a diamond-like back that gives off attractive sparkle. The Mirror 5s is equally as thin as its brother, at 7.65mm, and is strengthened with a bi-metallic frame with cross beams.
The display is the major area of difference between this phone and the Mirror 5. It sports a 5-inch diagonal display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, compared to the screen of the same size but with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution on its sibling. With a pixel density of 294 ppi, Oppo Mirror 5s offers improved clarity for images and videos.
Camera and Storage
Nothing is different in the camera department, with an impressive combination of 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary shooter has F2.2 aperture size, LED flash, autofocus and High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode, amongst others, to help you take superb images.
The Oppo Mirror 5s supports Full HD (1080p) video recording capability. The selfie snapper can be used to record HD (720p) videos. Onboard storage is 16 GB, which is expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Hardware and Software
Oppo Mirror 5s is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor running at 1.2 GHz. The 64-bit chip is accompanied by ample 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU. The phone runs on its maker’s ColorOS 2.1 software, which is based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, for a fluid and exciting user experience.
A non-removable 2420mAh battery supplies juice for Oppo Mirror 5s, which supports the use of two SIM cards concurrently. Oppo Mirror 5s supports super-fast LTE connectivity, which is available via the two SIM slots.
