Xiaomi Air 13 is the bigger of the two laptops launched by Xiaomi earlier this year. However, it is not just bigger than the Xiaomi Air 12, it also offers a more powerful Intel Core i5 processor and twice as much RAM, making it a better choice if you need more performance. Xiaomi Air 13 features a 13.3-inch display.

The laptop has a down facing AKG speaker with surround sound. Xiaomi Air 13 has a 5400 mAh battery and promises up to 6 hours of video playback. It also supports fast charging that can charge the battery to 50% in just 30 minutes.

Hardware and Software

Performance is the major area where the Xiaomi Air 13 has a noticeable advantage over the Xiaomi Air 12. This is because the Mi Notebook Air 13 has a more powerful 6th generation Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM, which is better than the Intel Core m3 and 4GB RAM of the Air 12.

Xiaomi Air 13 also has twice as much storage with 256GB SSD of built-in storage. It however lacks an SD card slot, but comes with a the ability to add an additional solid state drive.

Like its more compact cousin, the Xiaomi Air 13 is loaded with the Chinese language version of Windows 10 Home. You can get an English language version, but you will have to buy the activation code separately.

Ports and Connectivity

Xiaomi Air 13 offers the same ports and connectivity options as the 12-inch model, except that you get an extra USB 3.0 port. In all the laptop offers three USB ports: two standard USB 3.0 port and a USB Type, which can be used for both data transfer and for charging. The USB Type C port does not support audio.

You also get a standard HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Xiaomi Air 13 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
