Design and Display

The Honor 30 Pro Plus comes in a classic body design wrapped with glass both on the back and front with an aluminum frame. Its panel brings in a new design where the name of the company is embossed in big letters and the letters are with a different texture which is similar to frosted glass.

It’s available in three color options – Black, Green, and Silver. The Honor 30 Pro Plus has IP54 splash-proof which was found on the Huawei P40. Another major highlight which also gave this phone an edge over its siblings is the 90Hz 6.57” AMOLED panel with 180Hz touch sampling rate.

It also has a UD fingerprint scanner, and curved sides which is the first in Honor lineup. It has a higher 90Hz refresh rate panel, display protection and 89.8% screen-to-body ratio.

Camera

In addition to the 50 MP main shooter, it has an 8MP periscope telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom and up to 50x hybrid zoom.

You will also get a 16MP ultrawide cam with a 17mm equivalent lens that doubles as a macro camera, similar to the solution in the Honor View 30 Pro.

The camera support AI RAW photos – during a long exposure, it captures multiple RAW shots and then blends them into one RAW image for editing. You can also capture 4K videos at 60 fps. The punch hole on the front has a 32MP main selfie camera and an 8MP ultrawide unit.

Hardware and Software

The Honor 30 Pro Plus is powered by the same chipset on it’s its non-Plus brother. It has Kirin 990 5G SoC with an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.86 GHz with Mali-G76 MP16 for graphics.

It runs on the Android 10 operating system with Magic UI 3.1 on top. The onboard storage is 256GB with 12GB RAM while the bigger model comes with a huge 12GB RAM coupled with the same 256GB.

Battery and Network

Fueling the Honor 30 Pro Plus is a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40W wired and 27W wireless charging. It also has a Reverse charging 5W. It has both 4G and 5G networks with WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, LE, GPS, NFC, infrared port and,3.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.

Other features on the phone include a VC cooling for better heat dissipation even during long hours of gameplay. Lastly is a stereo speakers with Histen sound effects for an immersive entertainment experience.

Honor 30 Pro Plus Price and Availability

The Honor 30 Pro Plus will sell for $708 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM model, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant will cost $778.

In Nigeria, the Honor 30 Pro Plus will sell for 275,000 Naira, while in Ghana, it will cost around 4,200 Ghs and 75,500 Ksh in Kenya depending on the model you choose to buy.
