Design and Display
The Tecno Pop 4 spot a decent body design. However, the device lacks the trending notch but instead has a small bezel on the top which houses the front cameras and speaker. The bottom has the same bezel as well but free from anything. It’s just there for fancy.
The Pop 4 has a nice panel with exquisite texture lines that brings in different light and shadow effects. It adopts a 2.5D screen design while the whole body is wrapped to be sleek to offer a perfect grip.
Buyers will comfortably hold the new Pop 4. You will also notice a new camera module design on the panel. The handset has a screen size of 6.0 inches with 480 x 960 pixels resolution.
The screen also has a charging indicator embedded on it. So when your device is charging, you should be able to see the charging status on the screen.
There is display protection but not from gorilla glass. Overall, the Tecno Pop 4 offers a 73.2% screen-to-body ratio.
Cameras
Moving to the camera aspect, the device comes with a better front camera than the main camera. The 8 MP positioned on the front has an upgraded algorithm for better selfies and AI beautification.
You can also take amazing photos using the single 5 MP snapper on the pack which is paired with an LED flash. The camera has support for 720p video resolution. There is also a Face ID on the front camera and it has an LED flashlight as well.

On the inside, the budget Tecno Pop 4 has a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor which helps the Mediatek MT6580 chipset to carry out its task smoothly. It also has Mali-400MP2 for graphics and gaming.
The phone is further blessed with an inbuilt memory of up to 32GB ROM for photos, music, videos, and files storage. It has 2GB RAM and runs on Go Edition based on Android 10.
This means you will get lighter Apps and games that will run smoothly on the device. You can also expand the storage via the SDcard slot.
Battery and Network
The top-selling point of the Tecno Pop 4 is the massive 5000 mAh battery. The battery although does not come with fast charging technology but Tecno claims it will last for 23.6 hours of constant calling, 10.8 hours of watching a video and 69.2 hours listening to music using earphones.
You can always charge the battery through the micro USB cable. Sadly it lacks a 4G LTE network which left us with just a 3G network.
